Guestbook

Hello,

Welcome to my Guestbook. Please do sign in and leave your comments about this site so that I can develop it further. I am also always keen to hear of your North Somerset wildlife sightings so please do feel free to include them on here for other members to see. It would be nice to get a 'North Somerset Wildlife' community going where members can discuss local wildlife issues and pass on information for others to enjoy!

Thank you for signing in and commenting, I will endeavour to answer questions where I can.

Higgy :-)

Really wonderful site Higgy and one that I want to come back to.

I'm in Staffordshire boardering the West Midlands, but the special thing about nature and wildlife, is that the whereabouts makes no difference, it's still of wonder, interest and beauty, and it's everywhere !

I studied your photos with great interest, they're an excellent teaching aid , both in identification and photographic art, and more than that, they're incredibly beautiful.

Thanks Higgy for sharing your eyes, allowing so many of us to see more of the world that we're in awe of and that never fails to fascinate.  All the best Birdie :)

Hi Ade,

Thank you so much for your kind comments and yes it is great to know that there are other like minded people in the local area! Just looked at your website and I have to say that your images are stunning and certainly something to aspire to!!

I'm always looking for links to local sites and projects so more than happy to add a link to your beautiful website! If you are happy to return that favour I would be very appreciative of the extra publicity etc that it gives!

I am particularily interested in your moth work Ade as it's something I have planned to look at in more detail ths year. I would love to do a moth trap in the garden at some point this summer and your input would be very beneficial?...

I have left a comment on your website's contact page with my email address, please do get in touch so that we can talk further?

Best regards

Higgy

Nice to know I'm not the only wildlife and nature photographer in the area :) Thought I'd post a quick message and give you a heads up on my website and live webcams which maybe of some interest to you, especially as were both interested in macro imaging. You might also be interested in the hedgehogs I'm lucky enough to have visit the garden on a nightly basis and can be seen once darkness falls. Anyhow take a look at http://ade1963.wix.com/suenade and perhaps we could share a reciprical link to each others site and maybe pass on tips to each other.

Best regards and keep up the good work.....Ade

Hi Rodney, Thank you so much for your kind comments they really are appreciated!

The website started as a central place to keep my pictures and blogs etc as they have all increased in number over time and I felt this would make them more accessible to people.

I confess to have not done as much as I should have done in the last couple of months but now we have hit gardening season and with the strange weather we gat I've been using every spare moment to get some gardening done!

We have recorded lots of new species in the garden already this Spring so I do have a few more pictures to post up so do continue to watch this space!!...

Many thanks

Best regards

Higgy

Higgy,

This site is beautiful. Well done. I forgot to say yesterday that I recently watched a film that you may enjoy. It's a comedy called ' The Big Year' starring Jack Black, Steve Martin and Owen Wilson about three twitchers who are trying to break the record for the most number of North American species spotted in 365 days. If you haven't seen it, I think you will enjoy!

Higgy.

This is a great site with a great use of "white space" (meaning not giving into the temptationof using every bit of space on a page). The only constructive comment I would make is that taking advantage of social media such as twitter and facebook would help you gain more visitors and easily inform the one's you have of any new posts on the site.

At a later date we can discuss the possibility of affiliate advertising on te site (meaning adverts for companies that suit the theme of the site eg RSPB).

I liked the contents of your kit bag. Are you sure you weren't an SAS sniper in the past!?! :P
